Madonna, Caritas University, and others shutdown by NUC.

Madonna University, Lead City University, Obong University, Caritas University, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Tansian University and Achievers University were on Wednesday June 4th, listed by the National Universities Commission for allegedly violating NUC's guideline's on school facilities and academic programmes, thereby leading to the suspension of their operational licenses.

Mallam Ibrahim Yakassai, The Director of Press and Public Relations of NUC said that the suspension of the licenses of the affected schools was necessary in order to continually improve on the current standard of Nigerian Universities.

The schools will not be permanently closed down, as NUC says the suspension would be lifted as soon as the Universities meet up to the specific NUC guidelines.
